Margaret Glaspy

In an era of excess and endless distraction, New York–based singer-songwriter Margaret Glaspy rejects the noise in favor of something far more essential. On her latest album, I Am Both , Glaspy has assembled a selection of songs that include fictional vignettes, unguarded self-revelations, and empathetic observations of the troubled world around her. I Am Both stands as a striking new statement from one of modern music’s most formidable songwriters, bringing Glaspy’s disarmingly direct vocals and eloquent guitar work to a cathartic form of folk-leaning indie-rock.
