ValleyGoPHX
Privacy policy
Last updated October 16, 2026. This is the plain-English version. ValleyGoPHX is a free guide to things to do around the Phoenix metro. We collect as little as we can.
What we collect
- Newsletter signup: your email address and the preferences you choose (ZIP or city, how far you'll drive, interests, budget, days). We use them only to pick and send The Thursday Drop.
- Chat: the questions you type go to our server and an AI provider to write an answer from our listings. We don't tie them to your name or email.
- “Near me”: if you allow it, your browser shares your approximate location. It stays in your browser and is only used to sort results by distance.
- Feedback: thumbs up/down on picks in the email, used to tune your future picks.
How we use it
To run the site, send the emails you asked for, and improve picks. We don't sell or rent your personal information. Email is sent through our email provider (Resend), and data is stored with our hosting and database providers, who process it on our behalf.
Emails and unsubscribing
The Thursday Drop is one email a week, on Thursday, plus a one-time confirmation email and a welcome email. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@valleygophx.com and we'll remove you.
Cookies and local storage
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage keeps a few small things on your own device: your “near me” setting and, if you arrived through a friend's link, their referral code until you sign up. You can clear these anytime in your browser settings. Social posts (X, TikTok) are click-to-load; those services may set their own cookies only after you choose to load them. Some outbound ticket links are affiliate links, and the ticket site may set its own cookies when you visit it.
Your choices
Ask us to see, correct or delete your data at hello@valleygophx.com. The site isn't aimed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell subscribers about anything significant.
