Sit, Stay, Read!

Read to a dog -- therapy dogs love to listen to stories! Our friend Elsa, an English golden retriever, will be waiting for you at the library. It will make her so happy to hear you read! Bring your own book or take one from our shelves and spend some time with Elsa. Reading aloud to certified therapy dogs is an excellent way for emerging readers to practice their skills (and lots of fun too!). “Phoenix Public Library’s program is not affiliated with “Sit, Say, Read, Inc.” in Chicago, IL.” Limited space. Sign up for your 10-minute slot upon arrival. Materials for this program provided with support from the Ironwood Chapter of Friends of the Phoenix Public Library.
